In Season 2 of AMC's Kevin Can F**k Himself, Patty might have found help with Allison's new mission, but she's also pulling a dangerous person closer.
The following contains spoilers for Kevin Can F**k Himself Season 2, Episode 2, "The Way We Were," which premiered Aug. 29, on AMC.
On AMC's Kevin Can F**k Himself, Allison is scheming up a new plan to get back at her deadbeat husband, Kevin. While Season 1 had her trying to kill him, Season 2 is focusing on Allison trying to fake her own death and escape Worcester, Massachusetts. Unfortunately, she needs to hock some of his hidden valuables to get cash for the project and her new life, adding a bit of crime drama to the real world that rivals her sitcom fantasy reality.
Thankfully, she has her neighbor, Patty, to help out. Patty has grown tired of Kevin's toxic ways too, but she is getting frustrated with being Allison's sidekick. Still, she's trying to be the rock Allison needs, although recent developments found Patty gaining an ally, only to attract someone detrimental to the cause.

The ally Patty gained is none other than her brother, Neil. He was initially kidnapped and held hostage by the women after overhearing their plan. Patty eventually took him to the hospital after they beat him down, which resulted in Neil getting discharged after they bonded a bit. However, Patty made it clear she'd stop supporting him financially if he snitched.
Still, Neil did try to let Kevin know what was up, ignoring the blackmail. Kevin laughed it off, though, berating him as usual and giving him errands to complete as Kevin's mayoral campaign manager. At this point, Neil started to fully believe what the women told him all along: Kevin was a narcissistic jerk who only cared about himself. After recalling much of Kevin's emotional abuse, it came to a head when Kevin and his dad, Pete, made a joke about Patty's lesbian relationship with Tammy.

Both Allison and Neil lashed out at them at the same time, realizing they care about Patty the same way. This sparked more thoughts in Neil, who may well be preparing to backstab Kevin, because Patty, as family, would be more important. The problem is, while Neil, Patty and Allison could unite soon, Patty's making a mistake by keeping Tammy close to home.
Tammy is a detective, after all, investigating the comatose Nick, who Kevin shot in a break-in. Thus, if Tammy finds out Allison and Patty hired Nick, she would throw both in the slammer. As such, Patty needs to be keeping Tammy as far as possible from both houses. However, Tammy is getting cozy as they date, leading to her being suspicious about Neil. Seeing as she has intel about Neil knowing Nick, she could finger Neil as the drug dealer she has been looking for all along -- ergo his head scar, crew cut and hospital stint. It would be easy to assume he and Nick fell out, which means Patty is inadvertently making her brother a patsy.
To top it off, Tammy found a pill bottle nearby, so she knows she is in the vicinity of the dealer. Little does she realize it is Patty. Worse still, Patty has done a terrible job of hiding the empty bottles around the house. Ultimately, Patty is painting a target on her back, as well as her brother's, making it easy for Tammy to suss out their sins. Sadly, this could then expose Allison, landing her in jail too, while enabling the carefree Kevin to continue his nasty ways as a jerk holding political office.
New episodes of Kevin Can F**k Himself debut Mondays on AMC.
I'm a former Chemical Engineer. It was boring so I decided to write about things I love. On the geek side of things, I write about comics, cartoons, video games, television, movies and basically, all things nerdy. I also write about music in terms of punk, indie, hardcore and emo because well, they rock! If you're bored by now, then you also don't want to hear that I write for ESPN on the PR side of things. And yes, I've written sports for them too! Not bad for someone from the Caribbean, eh? To top all this off, I've scribed short films and documentaries, conceptualizing stories and scripts from a human interest and social justice perspective. Business-wise, I make big cheddar (not really) as a copywriter and digital strategist working with some of the top brands in the Latin America region. In closing, let me remind you that the geek shall inherit the Earth. Oh, FYI, I'd love to write the Gargoyles movie for Disney. YOLO. That said, I'm on Twitter @RenaldoMatadeen. So holler.
